Felix is studying for an MSc in gene therapy and hopes to apply for a PhD in the same field – when he was 16 he wrote a 22 000 word research project on gene therapy. He lives in a house of four OUBC rowers.

British-Irish James rowed in the Oxford Blue Boat in 2023 and 2024. He learned to row on the Tideway at school, when he says “I couldn’t get my head round the contact element of rugby.”

Has competed for Germany at Under-19 and Under-23 level, and has won seven national German titles. 2023 Oxford president, he is studying a PhD in Engineering and previously attended Princeton University.

Nick’s parents rowed in the 1988 and 1992 Olympics and met while on the national team. Won Olympic bronze for the United States at Paris 2024, in the men’s eight. He is studying an MSc by Research in Paediatrics, focussing on the possibilities of RNA editing to treat neurodegenerative disorders.
