In 2019, Putney’s pubs collaborated together to reduce plastic waste from its pubs launching on Boat Race day. For the last five years drinks have been served in the reusables rather than single use plastics.

The cups are returned to the pub and can be washed and re-used up to 50 times, on Boat race day and over the summer period.

Organised and funded by Positively Putney Business Improvement District, they have provided a total of 52,500 reusables to the fantastic pubs and bars in Putney, potentially saving over 2.5 million single use plastics going to landfill. Look out for our new colourful design for 2024!
