The Boat Race Partners with Chapel Down as Official Celebration Partner

Chapel Down, England’s leading wine producer has renewed its partnership with The Boat Race. The new two-year partnership ensures that Chapel Down remains the official Celebration Partner of the 2022 and 2023 Boat Race.
This partnership renewal builds on a strong relationship developed since 2017, when Chapel Down first became the official Celebration Partner. As well as providing jeroboams of their sparking wine for the winning crews to celebrate with on 3 April 2022, Chapel Down wines will also be served at Boat Race events throughout the year and they will have dedicated space within one of the fan parks on Boat Race day.
The Kent based winery has a world-class winemaking team, producing award winning sparkling and still wine made to the highest standards using the latest winemaking techniques, which has international appeal. Chapel Down is one of the UK government’s Top 50 Food & Drink producers and the first English winery to ever feature in the London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’. The extension to the relationship with The Boat Race will continue to build the brand association with the sport of rowing and a connection with English wine fans around the world through the global interest in this uniquely British event.

Sunday 3 April 2022 will see the 76th Women’s and the 167th Men’s Boat Race return to its iconic Championship Course that stretches over 4.25 miles of tidal Thames in West London from Putney to Mortlake. The Women’s Boat Race will start at 14.23 and the Men’s Boat Race will begin at 15.23.
The world-famous sporting event between the UK’s two historic universities – Oxford and Cambridge spans 192 years of rivalry and the Race has become synonymous with British tradition and educational and sporting excellence. The Race is attended by over 250,000 spectators and watched on live on the BBC by millions more in the UK and globally every year.
