GB Rowing Trials

All squad members trialling for The BNY Mellon Boat Races go through a rigorous 7 months training schedule in addition to their University commitments, however some squad members also manage to make time to attend the GB Rowing Trials throughout the season.

This weekend was the 1st Assessment for this year’s GB Rowing Trials and saw members of OUWBC trialling. Ruth Siddorn, Lauren Kedar, Morgan Baynham-Williams and OUWBC president Maddy Badcott headed off to Boston RC on Friday evening ahead of a 2km Ergo test on Saturday followed by a 5km Time Trial on Sunday.

Maddy Badcott, President of OUWBC, summarised their efforts by saying “The weekend was a success for members of OUWBC with PBs on the ergs, solid performances and lessons learnt out on the water”.
