When, where and why did you start rowing? And what do you love about the sport?
I started rowing at Walton Rowing Club in 2015 after my dad introduced me to the sport. I have always loved the team element of rowing. At tough points throughout my rowing career, I have leaned on those around me and to be able to win races with those people is an amazing feeling.

Walton Rowing Club. Neil West.
What or who was the earliest sporting inspiration you remember as a child?
Chris Froome winning the Tour de France
How has rowing and being part of the Boat Race squad impacted your life?
It has taught me the importance of discipline, time management and compassion for others
